Teatro Tapia, bajo la administración del actual alcalde, Hon. Jorge Santini Padilla, fue recientemente remodelado a
gran escala.Los trabajos comenzaron a finales de marzo de 2006 y culminaron en octubre de 2008. En la primera
fase se enfatizó en todolo relacionado con la planta física (techos, electricidad, iluminación,
sonido y aire acondicionado), en la segunda fase se trabajólos elementos cosméticos y decorativos
( alfombras, cortinas, butacas, etc.). De nuevo sube el telón para presentar su majestuosidade historia,
con la XXIX Entrega de los PREMIOS PAOLI DE PUERTO RICO.

ANTONIO PAOLI
Los
Premios Paoli se fundaron en el 1983, en honor al mas famoso tenor de Europa, Antonio Paoli Llamado "El tenor de los Reyes y el Rey de los Tenores", por haberse presentado exitosamente en los
palacios de los reyes de Europa. Esta importante premiacion reconoce el esfuerzo y la creatividad de nuestros
artistas, profesionales del arte, medios de comunicacion y la cultura, que aportan al desarrollo y calidad
de nuestra sociedad. Los nominados son seleccionados por las distintas instituciones y medios de comunicacion que reconocen la calidad y el trabajo de sus miembros. Los ganadores son elegidos por el publico a traves
del Internet y el periodico.

INTERNACIONALIZACION
En el 1992 comienza su internacionalizacion, a traves del Programa VIDA por Telemundo
Network Int'l, Ocurrio Asi, transmitiendose por Gems TV para mas de 24 paises en el 2000.
En el 2004
se celebra por primera vez en la ciudad hermosa de Orlando Florida, con grandes expectativas por parte de todos
los medios, convirtiendose en todo un exito, y formando parte del crecimiento y desarrollo de los hispanos en la
Florida Central.
Proximamente se estara celebrando la Entrega de los Premios Paoli en el Teatro Broadway,
en la ciudad de Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Con una transmisión satelital,
para Sudamérica, Estados Unidos y Europa.

Verdi's Il Trovatore on an early G & T 78 rpm disc # 025170. Paoli,
who was a giant of a man, had one of the MOST POWERFUL voices of any tenor---EVER! All
his recordings demonstrate that he sang with enomous passion.Paoli
was known as "The King of Tenors." He is considered the first Puerto Rican to reach international fame in the musical
arts.He very much wanted to perform at the Metropolitan Opera
in New York City but was prevented from appearing by Enrico Caruso who had great influence with the management and board of
directors. Honoring his talent as one of the best tenors of all times, Premios Paoli celebrates the inmortality of his excellent and unique voice.
HISTORY
Paoli Awards were founded in 1983, in honor of the most famous tenor of Europe, Antonio Paoli
Called "The tenor of the Kings and the King of the tenors, for having successfully submitted the palaces
of the kings of Europe. This important award recognizes the effort and creativity our artists, art professionals,
media and culture contributing to development and quality of our society. The nominees are selected
by different institutions and the media they recognize the quality and work of its members.
The winners are chosen by the public via the Internet and journalism.
